LIVERMORE IMPRESSED
Jake Livermore has been one of the best players for Hull city this season and Tom Huddlestone, who recently made the permanent switch to the KC stadium, says that the club should consider signing the midfielder on a permanent basis.
Livermore is on loan from Tottenham till the end of the season, but the recent managerial changes at the club may result in the youngster being recalled to White Hart Lane much earlier than expected. New manager Tim Sherwood has hinted that he sees Livermore as a young and rising star with a future in the team.
This is also the opinion of Huddlestone, who left Tottenham in order to play regular football. He has been an influential figure in the Hull season so far, while he is also accompanied by former Tottenham players like Jamie O’Hara. Livermore has missed just two matches in the league campaign since the start. He is unlikely to get a similar run at Tottenham, and Huddlestone has recommended that they sign Livermore on a permanent basis to make the most out of the youngster’s talent.
Hull have been able to maintain a good run of form going in the campaign despite this being their first in the Premier league for the last few years.
“Jake’s a very important player for us. He’s come in and he’s easy to get along with for all the new lads. Everyone has gelled perfectly on and off the pitch. He’s probably been one of our best players this season. He’s showing the things he can do with a bit of confidence and a bit of an extended run in the team. He’s adding goals to his game as well which makes him the complete midfielder really. From his performances he is just thriving on that,” said Huddlestone about the Tottenham midfielder.
