ARVELADZE REVEALS NEW SEASON PLANS
Hull City manager Shota Arveladze has revealed that the English Championship side are already planning for the new season. The Tigers are in the English Championship this season after they secured promotion by winning the League One title at the end of last season. As things stand, Hull City are not guaranteed another season in the Championship but that has not stopped them from planning for the new season.
All the abovementioned players have the option of another year in their respective contracts. Hull City officials will have to do decide if they want to activate that extra year for Tom Huddlestone, Mallik Wilks, George Honeyman, Richie Smallwood, Tom Eaves and Billy Chadwick. In the situation of both Josh Emmanuel and Matt Ingram, the players will have to make the decision on the extra year.
Hull City skipper Smallwood, crowd favourite Eaves and Honeyman have been important players since former Georgia national team star Arveladze took charge of the team earlier in the season. For Ingram, he has been in the Hull City goal for the past four games due to the injury to loanee Nathan Baxter. In the case of Chadwick, he suffered a serious knee injury last summer and the Tigers have not said much about the injury out of respect for him and his privacy.
