Derby County saw their six-match unbeaten run in the Championship brought to a premature end by a resurgent Aston Villa side that defeated them 3-0 at home.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes his side received a very good wake-up call after they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at Watford on Sunday. The north London giants had gone into the game on the back of a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Manchester United on the road but their performance against Watford was far from impressive.
The representative and father of Fernando Llorente have confirmed that the Spaniard won’t be extending his contract with Tottenham Hotspur. The 33-year-old has a poor debut season with Spurs where he struggled for goals as well as gametime and he is now said to be eyeing a fresh challenge with Napoli said to be interested in his signature.
Derby County midfielder Tom Huddlestone said that his team needs to remain focus if they want to get a place in the play-off. They have been struggling for form since February and have yet to win a game since then.
Everton are breaking new grounds under new boss Farhad Moshiri. They have just posted a record turnover, meaning things are going well at Goodison Park financially. However, the Merseyside Blues have been urged to tow the path of Tottenham Hotspur and build the club into a top tier side.
The Toffees posted £171.3 million in turnover and a post-tax profit of £30 million. The club also recorded 66 percent increase in sponsorship and advertising revenue. The record breaking shirt deal with SportPesa and sleeve sponsorship with Angry Birds means they will better the £15.4 million they earned in the 2017 financial year.

After having spent 4 seasons with Hull City, Tom Huddlestone has reached the end with the English Premier League club which recently suffered relegation after having finished at the 18th spot during the season of 2016-17.
The English midfielder has been performing with Hull City since 2013 and during this time-lapse of 4 years, Huddlestone appears to have developed a close relationship with the fans, players, technical staff and just about everyone that plays any kind of role in the club and he made it clear just how impactful they have been for him after penning an emotional goodbye letter which read:
“I have to say a massive thank you for the past four years. It’s been a bumpy ride along the way but enjoyable none the less. From a haircut on the pitch, to an FA Cup final, to European games at the KC. All experiences we won’t forget. The fans have been excellent with me, you are what make a football club what it is. Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are reportedly chasing Hull City star Tom Huddlestone after rival Stoke City snapped up Darren Fletcher.
With the Tigers exiting the top flight, West Bromare keen on signing him as his release clause is £2 million. Huddlestone joined Hull from Spurs in 2013 for £5million. He agreed to two year contract renewal last term so his deal is in its final year.
